Wage Equity Impact Awards

In partnership with the Mayor of Boston, we recognize the 100% Talent Compact Signers that are implementing practices or polices implemented by employers to close gender and racial wage gaps at their organization and creating new opportunities for women within their companies and organizations (previously known as the Innovative Initiative Awards).

In the past, we have recognized Compact Signers for the innovative work in these categories:

  • Decreasing the time to promotion for women

  • Closing the gender-based pay gap in total compensation for women

  • Advancing BIPOC women

  • Increasing the ratio of women in the C-Suite, via hiring or promotion

2022 Innovative Initiatives Awards Case Studies

Our 2022 Innovative Initiatives Award Recipients went above and beyond to support their employees and close the gender and racial wage gaps in their organizations. They showed their commitment to the 100% Talent Compact and demonstrated how to reimagine a new workplace in pursuit of eliminating long-standing gender inequities.

We are excited to share case studies on each Initiative, detailing their bold actions. We hope they serve as inspiration for how you can implement similar initiatives at your organizations while striving to create an equitable workplace for all workers.

VERTEX PHARMACEUTICALS

In efforts to close the opportunity gap, Vertex partnered with Year Up, a Boston-based organization, to develop a specific curriculum aimed at young adults with low to moderate income and a high school education (or GED).

C Space

In order to increase BIPOC representation within their organization, especially at leadership levels, C SPACE established talent planning for BIPOC colleagues to support their career progression.
