Pamela Yang, Managing Director and COO, The Bulfinch Companies, Inc.

Pamela Yang is an award-winning professional and thought leader, with more than three decades of experience in the financial services and commercial real estate industries.

As Managing Director and COO at Bulfinch, Pamela oversees daily operations, including guiding strategic planning, providing oversight of the firm, and working closely with the Financial Reporting Team and Bulfinch leadership. In addition, Pamela serves as the Chief Investment Officer for the firm’s Family Office.

Pamela plays a key role in leading the development and implementation of Bulfinch’s culture, ESG and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. She is a lead member of several Internal committees that collaborate across departments to advance the firm’s mission including the Investment, Valuation, Technology, Sustainability and Diversity, Equity + Inclusion Committees. Pamela is passionate about elevating women in the CRE industry and providing opportunities for female advancement and leadership roles. She leads by example and is a strong advocate for incorporating new DE+I initiatives at Bulfinch as well as the CRE industry.

Prior to joining Bulfinch, Pamela was Managing Director, Head of Charitable Asset Management at State Street Global Advisors, where she led a team that oversaw the investment and administration for over $3B in endowment and charitable assets. Pamela also spent 18 years as SVP, Head of Trust Investments and Operations at Harvard Management Company, where she oversaw the Trusts and Gifts group in fulfilling the fiduciary responsibilities for Harvard University’s investment assets and trusts.

Pamela is deeply committed to philanthropic efforts, both professionally and personally. She has been actively involved with the CFA Institute for over two decades, a global non-profit association of investment professionals, serving in many roles and capacities, recently being appointed to the prestigious position on the Board of Governors. Pamela also serves as the Diversity Task Force Co-Chair for the Planned Giving Group of New England and is a member of the Board of Trustees at the Boston Ballet.

In addition to being fluent in English, French, and Chinese Mandarin, Pamela is a fan of visual and performing art. She successfully fuses her love for language, art, and global innovation into creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace, an approach that has brought Pamela remarkable success in leadership roles throughout her career.
