The Boston Women’s Workforce Council (BWWC) leads a unique public-private partnership between the Boston Mayor and Greater Boston employers dedicated to eliminating gender and racial wage gaps.
We do so by measuring, analyzing, and reporting on these gaps, and working with over 200 employers committed to wage gap elimination and pay equity.

The Boston Women’s Workforce Council, in partnership with the Boston Mayor’s Office of Women’s Advancement, launched the Employer Wage Gap Calculator, a completely confidential online resource that enables employers to calculate their own wage gaps within seconds of inputting their data.
Please visit the Wage Gap Calculator today and feel free to share this tool with others both within and outside of your organization. Doing the math gives us the information we need to eliminate gender and racial wage gaps.
This year marks the Boston Women’s Workforce Council’s (BWWC) fifth Gender and Racial Wage Gap Measurement effort, reflecting a first-in-the-nation approach to providing a community snapshot of progress made toward closing gender and racial wage gaps in Greater Boston.
