Joan is Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Citizenship & Global Inclusion for State Street.  In this role, she oversees State Street’s global commitment to corporate citizenship and social responsibility; inclusion, diversity and equity; employee engagement; and culture transformation.  She serves as a board member of State Street Foundation and also represents State Street on the Boston Women’s Workforce Council and the Massachusetts Business Roundtable. 

Previously, Joan held the role of Chief Administrative Officer for Global Human Resources & Corporate Citizenship.  Prior to joining State Street in 2017, Joan worked for a large health insurer and several consulting firms where she assisted clients undergoing significant transformation with a focus on organizational change, human capital management, and operational excellence.

Joan holds Master of Business Administration and Master of Social Work degrees from Boston College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. An active community volunteer, she chairs the Board of Advisors for Boston Ballet.
